Consulting for Globally Distributed Development

There are several reasons not to handle a project in one location. Mostly people want to save costs. Often capacity, expertise, market proximity or otherwise is the reason.
One success for distributed projects is a professional project management based on well-defined processes. Some aspects of development processes are crucial for distributed projects. Just as important, however, are soft facts, such as appreciation, team building, and traps of communication in foreign languages, etc.
I convey with consulting, coaching and training the experience of hundreds of development projects, which were executed distributed over countries of the CEE region and Asia.
My presentation, "Success Factors of Globally Distributed Projects" at the EuroSPI 2008 was awarded the Best Speaker Award and was published in the journal Software Process by Wiley-Blackwell.
